The Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) and Tashi Beverages Limited, Bhutan Coca-Cola, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formally designating Coca-Cola as the Official Beverage Partner of the Bhutan Football Federation.
The partnership marks an important step in strengthening private-sector collaboration in support of football development in Bhutan. The MoU was signed at a formal ceremony held at the BFF Headquarters in Babena, attended by the Managing Director of Tashi Beverages Ltd., Bhutan Coca-Cola, Mr. Tshenchok Thinley, and the General Secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation, Mr. Ugyen Wangchhuk.
The agreement outlines cooperation in supporting BFF competitions, events, and grassroots initiatives, while enhancing the match-day experience for players, officials, and supporters. The partnership will be valid for a fixed term of three years amounting to Nu. 1500000/- per annum.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Ugyen Wangchhuk, General Secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation, highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “The Bhutan Football Federation is pleased to partner with Tashi Beverages Ltd., Bhutan Coca-Cola, a globally recognised brand with a long history of supporting sport. This collaboration will contribute meaningfully to the promotion of football in Bhutan, particularly in strengthening our competitions and youth development initiatives. We look forward to a productive and mutually beneficial partnership.”
Mr. Tshechok Thinley, Managing Director of Tashi Beverages Limited, Bhutan Coca-Cola.., Bhutan Coca-Cola, also welcomed the partnership, stating: “Coca-Cola Bhutan is proud to partner with the Bhutan Football Federation and support the continued growth of football in Bhutan. Football is a sport that unites communities, and as a brand that has long supported the game globally, we are delighted to contribute to the development of football at all levels in the country.”
The signing of this MoU underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to promote sport, youth engagement, and healthy lifestyles, while contributing to the continued growth and professional development of football in Bhutan
