EVENT OBJECTIVES: To inculcate knowledge of Basic Bhutanese etiquette.

A session on fundamental Bhutanese etiquette was organized on 1st October 2022, by the Department of Dzongkha. The event’s main speaker was lopen Drakpa. The event was bifurcated into two sessions. The first session was theory-based and followed by a practical session.

The speaker narrated a brief anecdote on the significance of the assimilation of merits. He further provided a reason for one’s emphasis on the process to achieve merit. Lopen shared a simplest yet profound way to achieve merit. The need to shower love and respect on one’s parents.

After the theory session, lopen along with the principal and teachers demonstrated the rudimentary use of kabney. The students were also taught how to sit, eat, talk and walk.

The session concluded by evaluating the learners’ accumulation of the lesson.
