The BFF/AFC C Diploma Coaching Course for Women
The Bhutan Football Federation marks a significant advancement in women’s football in Bhutan by conducting the first-ever AFC/BFF C Diploma Coaching Course for women. This course is designed to enhance the football knowledge and coaching skills of women actively involved in the sport, including the Women’s National Team members, Women’s School Sports Instructors, and women coaches from various football clubs across the nation. Through comprehensive training and certification at the AFC C level, the course equips participants with the essential skills needed to lead and develop football programs for women and girls at all levels.
Bikash Pradhan, Head of Coach Education, stated, “This initiative focuses not only on improving the tactical, technical, and strategic understanding of the game but also on fostering leadership, confidence, and empowerment among female coaches and instructors.” He also added that the course plays a crucial role in Bhutan’s broader strategy to promote and sustain the growth of women’s football. It aligns with the national objective of promoting gender equality in sports and ensuring that women have equal opportunities to contribute to and lead the development of football in the country.
By empowering women through education and leadership training, the BFF is helping to build a stronger and more inclusive football community, nurturing future generations of female footballers and coaches. In the long term, this initiative will contribute to creating a more vibrant and competitive women’s football scene in Bhutan, with well-trained coaches playing a pivotal role in the development of players at all levels. The course serves as a significant milestone in fostering an environment where women are not only participants but also leaders in the sport.
