The Bhutan Football Federation marked another significant milestone with the successful handover of a FIFA Arena Project 2026 mini pitch at Tendruk Central School on 20 March 2026.
The official handover ceremony was formalised through a signing between the school’s Principal and the General Secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation, symbolising the transfer of responsibility and ownership of the futsal facility to the school.
This newly established mini pitch is part of the global FIFA Arena Project, aimed at increasing access to football by providing safe and inclusive playing spaces for young people.
The event was marked by great enthusiasm and joy, as students eagerly took to the pitch for friendly futsal matches, celebrating the arrival of the new facility. The mini pitch is expected to serve as a hub for football development, encouraging participation and nurturing young talent within the community.
This initiative reflects the Bhutan Football Federation’s continued commitment to grassroots development and its vision of making football accessible to every corner of the country. By investing in such infrastructure, the Federation aims to inspire the next generation of players and further strengthen the foundation of football in Bhutan.
