BFF ‘C’ Diploma Coaching Course
The Bhutan Football Federation ‘C’ Diploma Coaching Course began from 19th July at Ugyen Wangchuck Stadium in Bumthang Dzongkhag. The opening ceremony of the course was graced by the General Secretary of Bumthang Sports Association Mr. Karma Dorji. The course focuses on producing more number of quality club and grassroots academy coaches for academies to meet the increasing number of kids enrolling in the academies. The course also focuses on producing coaches for those clubs who are opening academies in different Dzongkhags.
Mr. Passang Tshering, who holds an AFC ‘A’ license is the chief instructor of the course assisted by Mr. Galey Zangpo, the head of grassroots, and Mr. Yeshey Dorji, the assistant coach educator. The overall course is mentored by Mr. Kinley Dorji, the Head of Coach Education Department.
This course will benefit the future generation of players and will help produce quality players. As a player myself I want to take up coaching as my career pathway. After attending this course, I will try to impart whatever knowledge I have gained from this course to my club academy kids, said Tshering Dendup, current football player of Transport United FC”. The 12-day coaching course has a total of 28 participants, 17 of which are women from various club academies.
