The BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026 got underway in Thimphu today with a derby that felt alive from the stands to the pitch. A light drizzle hung over the stadium, but it did little to slow the crowd. If anything, it added to the mood. Blue on one side, red on the other, and the noise never really dipped. Thimphu City FC, one of the league’s most established sides, up against a returning Thimphu FC team that had come through the qualifiers with confidence. Even before kickoff, it felt evenly poised.
