The Medical Department of the Bhutan Football Federation, with the support of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), successfully conducted a two-day AFC Football Medicine and Doping Control Course on 15th and 16th December.
The program brought together medical doctors, paramedics, physiotherapists, and coaches actively engaged in football, providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development within the football medical community.
Key sessions focused on awareness, prevention, and emergency response to Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the proper recognition and management of concussion, and comprehensive education on anti-doping regulations aimed at promoting clean, fair, and ethical sport.
This important initiative has significantly strengthened medical preparedness and player safety standards, reaffirming the Bhutan Football Federation’s continued commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of all stakeholders involved in Bhutanese football.
