Kencho Tobgay Double Fires Drukpa FC to Thrilling Victory Over 10-Man Tsirang FC

Drukpa FC produced a dramatic comeback at Tsirang Artificial Turf, overcoming 10-man Tsirang FC in a five-goal thriller to secure all three points in the second round of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026.

The match delivered end-to-end action, with both sides showing attacking intent and creating several chances throughout the encounter. Despite falling behind early, Drukpa FC showed great resilience to turn the game around before eventually claiming a 3-2 victory.

Tsirang FC made a bright start in front of their home supporters and broke the deadlock through Afeez. After an energetic opening with chances at both ends, Alex Willian created the opportunity with an impressive run down the left flank after winning possession in midfield. His delivery into the box found Afeez, who calmly tapped the ball into the net to give the hosts the lead and score his first goal of the season in the 18th minute of the game.

Drukpa FC responded strongly after the break and found the equaliser just two minutes into the second half. A goal-bound effort from Kencho Tobgay was stopped by a deliberate handball from Kinzang Tshering on the goal line, resulting in a penalty and was sent off. Fahad stepped up and confidently converted from the spot to bring the visitors back on level terms in the 47th minute.

The momentum shifted in favour of Drukpa FC as they continued to push forward. Their pressure paid off when Kencho Tobgay put the visitors ahead with a superb sliding finish, connecting perfectly with Philip’s cross into the box 5 minutes after the penalty.

Despite being reduced to 10 players, Tsirang FC refused to give up and fought their way back into the contest. Substitute Tenzin Wangda made an immediate impact, finishing off Alex Willian’s excellent setup with a composed tap-in to level the match in the 82nd minute.

However, Drukpa FC had the final say. Kencho Tobgay delivered a moment of individual brilliance, firing a stunning strike into the net to restore the visitors’ lead and complete a memorable victory.

The victory highlights Drukpa FC’s determination and attacking quality, while Tsirang FC can take pride in their fighting spirit after battling with a numerical disadvantage for a large part of the match.

Drukpa FC leave Tsirang with three valuable points as both teams continue their journey in the second round of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026.
