This course is designed to equip referees for both the BoB Bhutan Premier League (BPL) and the Bhutan Women’s National League (BWNL). It covers the selection process and clearly defines the roles of match officials, including the main referee, assistant referees, and the fourth official.
A strong focus is placed on pre-match preparation, from referee briefings and equipment checks to efficient logistics management, ensuring everything is in place before kickoff.
The training also dives into real match-day scenarios, sharpening decision-making, game management, and the enforcement of league regulations to guarantee consistency, fairness, and control throughout every match.
To match the speed of the modern game, the course emphasises physical fitness, with dedicated sessions aimed at enhancing performance and ensuring referees can keep up with the intensity on the pitch.
