Tsirang FC marked their opening home match of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026 at Tsirang Artificial Turf with a statement performance, securing a convincing victory in front of an excited home crowd.

 

 

Their first home fixture of the season lived up to expectations as the hosts combined energy, discipline, and clinical finishing to outclass Tensung FC in a dominant display.

 

The breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute when Tsirang FC capitalised on a well-rehearsed set-piece routine. Stephen delivered a precise inswinging corner from the flank, and Tampi Ernest rose highest to power a header into the net, opening the scoring and stamping his name on the goalscoring chart.

 

 

The match also saw early drama, with the first card of the game shown to Adarsh of Tsirang FC for a reckless challenge. The hosts were then forced into an early change in the 40th minute, as Okwudili Nwokwu Michael made way for Tenzin Wangda.

 

Despite going behind, Tensung FC showed resilience and pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Their best opportunity came in the 63rd minute through Palden Wangchuk, but Tsirang’s defence held firm to preserve their advantage.

 

 

As the game wore on, Tsirang FC maintained control of key moments and continued to threaten. Their pressure was rewarded in the 85th minute when Oladipo displayed excellent strength and awareness inside the box before setting up Singye Wangchuk, who calmly finished to double the lead and register his second goal of the season.

 

 

The victory was sealed in the dying minutes when substitute Wangda made an immediate impact. Meeting a perfectly delivered cross from Stephen Stalin on the right flank, he powered a header into the net to complete a memorable night for the home side.

 

 

At full-time, Tsirang FC celebrated a commanding 3–0 win, a result that not only secured all three points but also marked a perfect start to their home campaign in front of their supporters.

 

With this result, Tsirang FC climb to third place on the table with three wins, while Tensung FC remain in ninth position with one win and a draw.
