Thimphu FC Secure Commanding Victory Over Transport United FC
Thimphu FC delivered a commanding performance to secure a convincing 3–0 victory over Transport United FC in the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026, producing a dominant first-half display at Changlimithang Stadium.
The Thunderbolts wasted little time making their mark, opening the scoring in the 11th minute. A promising set-piece situation created an opportunity for the home side, with William Opoku playing a clever through ball to Siddarth. Siddarth delivered a dangerous cross into the box, where Stephen rose highest to head the ball home and give Thimphu FC the lead.

Another set-piece delivery caused uncertainty inside the Transport United penalty area. The Grizzly Bears attempted to clear the danger, but the ball fell directly to William Opoku. Showing composure, Opoku controlled the ball before unleashing a powerful strike to put the Thunderbolts three goals ahead.
Transport United FC went into the break with a difficult task ahead of them after conceding three goals in the opening 33 minutes.
The second half saw Transport United attempt to find a way back into the contest, while Thimphu FC remained organised and looked to protect their advantage. Despite several moments of action at both ends, neither side was able to find the breakthrough after the interval.
