Paro FC Cruise Past BFF Academy with Dominant Five-Goal Display

Paro FC delivered a commanding performance at Changlimithang Stadium, defeating the previously unbeaten BFF Academy 5-1 in an entertaining BoB Bhutan Premier League encounter and moving to the top of the table on goal difference.

The match began at a frantic pace, with both sides showing attacking intent from the opening whistle. BFF Academy registered the first shot on target inside four minutes when Rinzin Dorji capitalized on a quick restart and forced Paro FC goalkeeper Gyeltshen Zangpo into a stretching save, conceding a corner.
Paro FC responded almost immediately. In the sixth minute, the Tigers launched a swift counterattack that ended with Yuta getting on the end of Richard Sagna’s cross, but his close-range effort failed to find the breakthrough.

The reigning champions would not have to wait long. In the 13th minute, a misplaced back pass from Sonam Dorji proved costly as Yuta reacted quickest, sliding in to poke the ball past the goalkeeper and give Paro FC an early lead.

Paro FC continued to dictate the tempo throughout much of the first half, applying relentless pressure on the BFF Academy defense. The Young Guns thought they had found an equalizer before the break, but their celebrations were cut short when the goal was ruled out for offside.

Holding a 1-0 advantage at halftime, Paro FC returned with the same intensity after the restart. Their persistence paid off in the 56th minute when Yuta doubled the lead. Evans Asante provided a perfectly weighted ball into the penalty area, and the forward displayed excellent composure to bring it under control, turn his marker, and fire a powerful low finish into the corner for his second goal of the evening.
The Tigers continued to dominate proceedings and were rewarded again in the 76th minute. Richard Sagna produced one of the moments of the match, curling a sublime effort into the far top corner to put the result beyond doubt and cap off another impressive display from the Paro FC attack.

The visitors were not finished yet. In the 86th minute, two substitutes combined brilliantly as Kinga Wangchuk delivered an inviting cross from the left flank and Taiga rose highest to power a header into the net. The goal marked Taiga’s fifth of the season and extended Paro FC’s lead to four goals.
BFF Academy managed to pull one back late in the contest through Rinzin Dorji, who was rewarded for his persistence with a well-taken finish. However, Paro FC had the final say when substitute Abdoulie Baldeh found the back of the net before the final whistle, sealing a comprehensive 5-1 victory and scoring his first goal of the season.

The goals from Rinzin Dorji and Taiga also added another twist to the Golden Boot race, with both players moving to the top of the scoring charts on five goals each.

The result sees Paro FC leapfrog BFF Academy to the summit of the BoB Bhutan Premier League standings. Both sides are level on 10 points, but the Tigers now hold a superior goal difference by one goal.

The performance once again highlighted Paro FC’s attacking quality, squad depth, and championship pedigree. Yuta’s clinical brace, Richard Sagna’s moment of brilliance, and the impact of the substitutes underlined a complete team performance as the Tigers continued their strong start to the season.
