RTC FC and Drukpa FC Share Spoils in Thrilling 1–1 Draw at RTC Artificial Turf
RTC Football Club and Drukpa Football Club played out a 1–1 draw in a tightly contested match marked by late drama, tactical adjustments, and multiple second-half changes at the RTC Artificial Turf.

The first booking of the game came in the 21st minute, when Karma Jamtsho Tashi received a yellow card in a competitive opening half. Both teams showed discipline and structure, with RTC FC focusing on possession-based build-up play, while Drukpa FC remained compact and dangerous on the counterattack.
The second half saw the tempo rise significantly, accompanied by a flurry of substitutions from both sides. RTC FC introduced several changes around the 63rd and 70th minutes, bringing on players such as Nima Gyeltshen, Sardar Jakhonov, and Dilip Monger in search of an equaliser. Drukpa FC also responded with changes, introducing Sangay Rinchen, Kencho Tobgay, Phub Dorji, and Rehan Rajeev Palattumeethal to maintain their intensity.

Drukpa FC broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute through a well-worked attacking move. The debutant of Drukpa FC Fahad delivered a dangerous cross from the left flank, which caused confusion inside the box as the ball bounced off Yeshi before falling kindly to Philip. The forward showed great composure to finish clinically and give the visitors a 1–0 lead.

However, RTC FC responded late in the game with determination. In the 88th minute, Jigdrel Wangchuk produced a moment of brilliance, unleashing a powerful long-range strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance and brought the home side level at 1–1.
The closing stages were highly intense, with emotions running high and disciplinary actions on both sides. RTC FC’s Ngawang Yonten received a red card in the 88th minute, while Drukpa FC’s Woo Gyeongyun was also shown a red card moments later. In addition, Min Shin also got a yellow card for the incident and after the game, Kinzang Tenzin of RTC FC picked up a yellow card for going against the referee after the match.
After a dramatic finish filled with goals, cards, and late substitutions, both teams were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the points.

With the match 21st of the BoB Bhutan Premier League, 2026 completed, BFF Academy still leads the points table with 10 points, while Drukpa FC are slightly behind with 8 points, while RTC FC jumped to 4th position with 7 points.
