RTC WFC Dominating Paro FC Women 8-0 at Changlimithang Stadium
The Bank of Bhutan (BoB) Women’s National League 2026 began in spectacular fashion at Changlimithang Stadium as defending champions RTC Women’s Football Club produced a dominant performance to defeat Paro Football Club Women 8-0 in the opening match of the new season.
The atmosphere at Changlimithang was lively from the afternoon as supporters gathered to celebrate the start of another season of the BoB Women’s National League 2026 under the theme “Her Game, Her Future.” Students from Mothithang Higher Secondary School and Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School (YHS) also attended the opening ceremony, adding energy and excitement to the occasion alongside entertainment performances, music, and cultural programs.

From the early stages of the match, RTC WFC took control with sharp passing, high pressing, and constant attacking pressure, immediately putting Paro FC on the back foot. Tshering Yangchen opened the scoring in the 9th minute before Sonam Lhamo doubled the lead four minutes later. RTC continued their dominance as Deki Lhazom scored in the 17th minute.
Paro FC struggled to contain RTC’s attacking movement and pace. Before halftime, Tshering Yangchen completed her brace in the 37th minute, while Pema Kuenzang Choeki and Deki Lhazom added two more quick goals in the 41st and 42nd minutes. RTC went into halftime with a commanding 6-0 lead.

In the second half, Paro FC showed more determination and defensive discipline, but RTC continued to control the match comfortably. The champions added two more goals after the break to complete an emphatic 8-0 victory and begin their title defence in strong fashion. Tshering Yangchen became the first player of the season to score a hat-trick in the Women’s National League.
The result sends an early message to the rest of the league as RTC WFC once again demonstrated their quality and attacking strength, reinforcing their status as one of the most dominant teams in the BoB Women’s National League 2026.
The Women’s National League action continues tomorrow with Tsirang Women’s Football Club taking on Utd Phuentsholing Women’s Football Club at 6:00 PM at Changlimithang Stadium.
