BoB Premier League and Women's National League 2026 Begins Tomorrow Under the Lights of Changlimithang

The wait is finally over as the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026 gets ready to kick off tomorrow, marking the 15th edition of the competition and bringing Changlimithang Stadium back to the centre of a season that carries anticipation, energy, and expectation all at once, where a new season begins not quietly, but with a full stage set for football, music, and a crowd that knows exactly what is coming.

The inauguration ceremony has been designed to carry that feeling from the very first moment, with live performances that bring rhythm and atmosphere into the stadium long before kickoff, featuring Kuenley Wangmo, Karma Wangmo, Karma Phuntsho, and Hemlal Darje, each set to bring their own presence to a programme that is expected to lift the energy in the stands and keep it there right through the evening.

At the heart of the opening will be the official unveiling of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2026 trophy, a bold dragon-inspired design that reflects strength, ambition, and identity, revealed in front of a packed stadium as the new season is set in motion and every team begins the same pursuit with the same objective waiting at the end of the journey.

Guiding the programme through the evening will be Khengtala, whose familiar presence as host brings humour, timing, and connection with the crowd, keeping the flow of the inauguration alive.

Once the curtain lifts on the football itself, attention turns immediately to the opening fixtures, beginning with RTC Women’s FC taking on Paro Women’s FC at 4:00 PM, a match that sets the early competitive tone of the women’s season, before the focus shifts to 6:00 PM when Thimphu FC meet Thimphu City FC under the lights of Changlimithang Stadium, a fixture that carries familiarity, rivalry, and the kind of intensity that opening occasions tend to amplify.

With a strong crowd expected and excitement already building, supporters are strongly advised to arrive by 2:30 PM as gates and seating areas are expected to fill quickly, and early arrival will be essential to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth entry experience before the stadium reaches full capacity.
