The Bhutan Football Federation would like to congratulete Mr. Pema Dorji, General Secretary of Paro FC, on being reelected as Vice President of the Bhutan Football Federation.  Additionally, we extend our congratulations to Mr. Hishey Tshering, President of Thimphu City FC, Dasho Singye Palden Yonten, President of RTC FC, and Mr. Jigme Tsewang, President of Transport United FC, on their election as Executive Members of the Bhutan Football Federation. The fourth module of the BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching Course

The fourth module of the BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching Course took place at Changjiji Academy. This module, which commenced on March 18, 2024, concluded on 22nd March. For the fourth module, the course instructors were Mr. James Benjamin Riches and Ms. Sharon Muxworthy from FA England. The closing ceremony was attended by the General Secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation, Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk.

The BFF- AFCProfessional Diploma Coaching Course Fifth module concludes at Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar

ChatGPT The BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching course (5th Module), which kicked off on April 21, 2024, at Aspire Academy, ended on 1st May. A total of 10 coaches participated in the course. During their time there, they engaged in a comprehensive program that included both practical and theoretical sessions. The lectures and practical sessions were expertly curated by Aspire’s Football Performance & Science department. This module on performance was just one of the four essential components that these coaches successfully completed in order to earn their pro-license, the pinnacle qualification in coaching. The Bhutan Football Federation would luke congratulated all 10 coaches for completing the second last module and thanked Aspire Academy for their kind hospitality to the Bhutanese coaches.

New Artificial Turf Of Dagapela Inaugurated

The grand opening of the Dagapela Artificial Turf was graced by the President of the Bhutan Football Federation Dasho Ugen Tsechup, the National Council representative of Dagana Dzongkhag, Honorable Birandra Chimorai, Dasho Dzongda, Lam Neten, other dignitaries, the Bhutan Football Federation faculties and the people of the district.The opening ceremony was followed by an exhibition match between the local players of Dagana and BFF officials. Later, the first-ever match of BoB Bhutan Premier League at Dagana Dzongkhag is scheduled to be played between Daga United FC and Tensung FC.The new turf of Dagapela is funded by FIFA Forward Project II.

The BFF-AFC B Diploma Coaching Course concludes

The BFF-AFC B Diploma Coaching Course concluded today at the BFF Academy today. The closing ceremony was graced by the general secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation Mr. Ugyen Wangchhuk. The course was led by Mr. Kinley Dorji, the head of coach education, with assistance from Mr. Puspa Lal Sharma. A total of 13 participants, including one female, actively participated in the program. Upon completion, the coaches are set to return to their respective clubs and academies to apply their newfound knowledge in developing youth teams and nurturing young players. Each coach has been assigned specific tasks, which they are required to submit to the instructor before being issued their certificates and coaching licenses. The Bhutan Football Federation consistently organizes such courses to enhance the education of coaches in the country, aiming to produce more qualified individuals dedicated to the development of football at the grassroots level.

PRO Licence Course-Bhutan

The BFF-AFC Pro Diploma Coaching Course Module 2 concludes

The BFF-AFC Pro Diploma Coaching Course Module 2 which started on 8th November  concluded on 19th November 2023 with its second practical assessment, led by Mr. Vincent Subramaniam as the main tutor. The module 2 covered the topics on leadership, management, the know-how of a technical director and knowing yourself  in the theory session. In the practical session, the course focused in tactics and strategies of a game. A total of ten participants were involved, including two females. The third module is scheduled to commence on December 23, 2023, and will continue until January 2, 2024. Following the completion of Module 2, participants will return to their respective clubs to apply the knowledge gained and train their teams. Each participant has been assigned an assignment based on the playing philosophy, which they are required to submit to the tutors during the third module.

BFF-AFC ‘B’ Diploma Coaching Course module one comes to an end today

The BFF-AFC B Diploma Coaching Course module one comes to the end today with first practical assessment of the participants. Now the participant will be going back to their clubs and academy for their practical assignments which they need to submit to the tutor in the final module of the course. A total of 13 participants participated in the course of which one is female. The course was lead by Mr. Kinley Dorji, the head of coach education and assisted by Mr. Puspa Lal Sharma head coach of Paro FC. The final module of the course will start from 1st December 2023.

Coach Education Development Workshop

The Coach Education Department organized its inaugural Coach Education Development Workshop in Thimphu. This two-day event was led by two distinguished individuals: Mr. Mehmet, the Technical Director, and Mr. Kinley Dorji, the Head of Coach Education. The primary objective of this workshop was to empower our own national tutors with the necessary skills and knowledge. The workshop was specifically designed to enhance the capabilities of tutors, enabling them to effectively conduct courses in grassroots and C-level coaching. The aim is for these tutors to later facilitate courses in various regions and districts, thereby spreading the knowledge and expertise in coaching. A total of 17 participants are currently participating in this workshop, with the notable inclusion of three female participants, highlighting the commitment to inclusivity and diversity in coach education. During the workshop, coach educators have been actively reviewing the syllabus for grassroots and C-level courses. The goal is to update these syllabi in line with our specific needs and requirements to ensure the highest quality of coaching education. The workshop is set to conclude tomorrow, marking a significant step in the development and improvement of coach education in Thimphu.

Mr. Vaithilingam Subramaniam, The lead tutor of the course Led by the esteemed Mr. Vaithilingam Subramaniam, Technical Director of AIFF and former Technical Director of BFF, the course aims to elevate coaching standards from the conventional level to a professional zenith. Divided into carefully structured module-based sessions, this course spans nine months, with modules 1, 2, 3, and 6 conducted within Bhutan. However, the course’s international exposure is not limited to theory, as module 4 unfolds in Patiala, India, fostering an exchange program with Patiala Academy coaches. Module 5, meanwhile, unfurls its wings in Saudi Arabia, providing participants with insights into professional coaching practices there.
