The Bhutan Football Federation is pleased to announce the vacancies for the following for recruitment: SN Post Slot Qualification Station Appointment 1 Technical Coordinator One AFC A Diploma Thimphu   Contract   2 Head of Goalkeeping One      AFC B Diploma Goalkeeping 3 TDS Manager One  12 Passed & AFC B Diploma 4 Youth Coach One Minimum AFC B Diploma Tendu, Samtse TDS The Roles and Responsibilities and the documents required as followed: SN Roles and Qualities Documents Required Technical Coordinator ·     Experienced in managing the administration   for a technical and or technical department, ·     Should have an understanding of basic football administration principles and functions, ·     Should have the ability to work as a team member and work independently, ·     Should have the understanding the current BFF and Football Development Programs, ·     Should be a dynamic thinker and worker, ·     Should have excellent communication skills and ·     Should be good at computer literacy and presentation skills. ·        Hold minimum AFC A Diploma, ·        Copy of Security Clearance Certificate, ·        Copy of Medical Fitness Certificate, ·        Copy of CID Card and ·        NOC from the employer if selected for the post.   Head of Goalkeeping ·     Two years working experience with the football clubs and National Teams, ·     Should have the experience of managing goalkeepers during the transition phase into senior and international Football, ·     Should have the interest in Goalkeeping Coach Education, ·     Should have the understanding of Long-term Players Development (LTPD) Principles, ·     Should have the ability to work as a team member and to work independently, ·     Should possess a modern, progressive approach to Coaching and Learning and ·     Should have excellent communication skills. ·         Should have AFC B Diploma in Goalkeeping, ·         Copy of Security Clearance Certificate, ·         Copy of Medical Fitness Certificate, ·         Copy of CID Card and ·         NOC from the employer if selected for the post.   TDS Manager ·      Should be able to manage all TDS Program under the directives of the TDS in line with STDP, MTDP and LTDP, ·      Should provide leadership for the TDS staffs, ·      Should assist in the planning of Youth National Team Activities, which fall under active TDS category, ·      Should lead the annual programs of TDS Teams, individual players and coaches with the development objectives and preparation for the competitions, ·      Should guide and coordinate Regional Elite Youth Coaches for TDS Programs, ·      Should elaborate and conduct extensive TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM, ·      Should institute a TDS Technical Panel to ensure a fair/transparent selection process for Elite Youth Plan, ·      Should conduct/coordinate workshops, Conferences (AFC) and MA Courses and RFA Workshops and ·      Should MONITOR, ARCHIEVE Elite Youth Coaches and Players Development. ·         Class 12 passed ·         Should have minimum AFC B Diploma, ·         Copy of Security Clearance Certificate, ·         Copy of Medical Fitness Certificate, ·         Copy of CID Card and ·         NOC from the employer if selected for the post. Youth Coach ·      Should be able to design and deliver age-specific training sessions that cater to the developmental needs of youth players, and should possess decision-making abilities, ·      Should be able to develop individualized coaching plans for players, provide feedback and support to facilitate their growth and development, ·      Should organize and oversee youth competitions, tournaments, and events, whereby it will provide opportunities for players to display their skills and talents. ·      Should monitor and evaluate the progress of youth players regularly, whereby it will identifying the areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address any deficiencies and ·      Should foster positive relationships with players, parents, and guardians, whereby it will maintain open line of communication and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.  ·        Should have minimum AFC B Diploma, ·        Copy of Security Clearance Certificate, ·        Copy of Medical Fitness Certificate, ·        Copy of CID Card and ·        NOC from the employer if selected for the post. The fourth module of the BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching Course

The fourth module of the BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching Course took place at Changjiji Academy. This module, which commenced on March 18, 2024, concluded on 22nd March. For the fourth module, the course instructors were Mr. James Benjamin Riches and Ms. Sharon Muxworthy from FA England. The closing ceremony was attended by the General Secretary of the Bhutan Football Federation, Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk.

The BFF- AFCProfessional Diploma Coaching Course Fifth module concludes at Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar

ChatGPT The BFF-AFC Professional Diploma Coaching course (5th Module), which kicked off on April 21, 2024, at Aspire Academy, ended on 1st May. A total of 10 coaches participated in the course. During their time there, they engaged in a comprehensive program that included both practical and theoretical sessions. The lectures and practical sessions were expertly curated by Aspire’s Football Performance & Science department. This module on performance was just one of the four essential components that these coaches successfully completed in order to earn their pro-license, the pinnacle qualification in coaching. The Bhutan Football Federation would luke congratulated all 10 coaches for completing the second last module and thanked Aspire Academy for their kind hospitality to the Bhutanese coaches.

New Artificial Turf Of Dagapela Inaugurated

The grand opening of the Dagapela Artificial Turf was graced by the President of the Bhutan Football Federation Dasho Ugen Tsechup, the National Council representative of Dagana Dzongkhag, Honorable Birandra Chimorai, Dasho Dzongda, Lam Neten, other dignitaries, the Bhutan Football Federation faculties and the people of the district.The opening ceremony was followed by an exhibition match between the local players of Dagana and BFF officials. Later, the first-ever match of BoB Bhutan Premier League at Dagana Dzongkhag is scheduled to be played between Daga United FC and Tensung FC.The new turf of Dagapela is funded by FIFA Forward Project II.

The BFF celebrates AFC Grassroots day

The Bhutan Football Federation celebrated AFC Grassroots Day today at Gelephu Public Ground, graced by the presence of Gelephu Thrompon, the Technical Director of Bhutan Football, the National Team Director of Bhutan Football Federation, coaches from Gelephu Girls Academy, and teacher and students of Gelephu Lower Secondary School. Additionally, celebrations took place at Rangjung Central School in Trashigang, Pema Lingpa Central School, and Kharsa Primary School in Bumthang, as well as with the monks of Tamzing Dratshang in Bumthang. A total of 460 students and 34 monks participated in the event.The primary aim and objective of the program were to:1. Encourage individuals of all ages, genders, and abilities to engage in football activities, fostering inclusivity and diversity within the sport.2. Provide opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of playing football.3. Promote the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of participating in football, highlighting the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.4. The president of the Bhutan Football Federation Dasho Ugen Tsechup discussed the area of cooperation between the Royal Netherlands Football Association(KNVB) with Her Excellency Marisa Gerads, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bhutan. The key areas of interest are as follows: National Coaching Staff Coach Education and Coaching(WorldCoaches approach) Capacity building of the vital functions and positions (referees, administrators, organizers) Exchange or sending Bhutan youngsters to get trained in the Netherlands(long stints) Knowledge upgrade in technology used in football development( training and infrastructures) Further development of girls and women football.

In a thrilling season of the Pepsi  Bhutan Premier League Qualifiers that ended on 6th April 2024, Daga United FC emerged as the standout team, clinching the top spot with an unbeaten record. Their remarkable performance not only secured them to the BoB Bhutan Premier League, 2024 but also etched their name to be the first and only team to achieve an undefeated run in the qualifiers. Daga United FC’s journey to glory was marked by consistency and determination. Although just a newbie club forming this year, they displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, dominating their opponents with an impressive tally of 21 goals scored and conceding just 8 goals in 7 matches. Their outstanding goal difference of 13 reflected their dominance on the field, leaving their competitors trail behind throughout the qualifier. Notably, Daga United FC, despite being newcomers, quickly made their mark, showcasing their talent and potential to compete at the highest level of Bhutanese football. Their inclusion added an exciting dimension to the qualifiers, injecting fresh energy and enthusiasm among fans and players alike. Unlike the previous qualifiers, this year the team played exceptionally well remarking their dream of playing in the BoB Bhutan Premier League and hence, the top 4 spots to play in the Bhutan Premier League were determined in the final round of the qualifiers. Meanwhile, Tsirang FC and Phuentsholing Heroes FC also played notably well seeding the spot in the Bhutan Premier League. The top 4 teams who secured their place in the BoB Bhutan Premier League, 2024 were separated by just 3 points. However, not all familiar faces found success this season. Ugyen Academy FC, a perennial contender in the league since 2012, faced a surprising setback as they failed to qualify for the tournament for the first time in over a decade. Their loss against Samtse FC in the final match of the Pepsi Bhutan Premier League, 2024 sent them out of the top 4. Their absence marked a significant shift in the league dynamics, signalling the emergence of new contenders vying for the title.  On the other end of the spectrum, Thimphu Raven FC and Namlha FC endured a challenging season, resulting in their relegation from the league. Despite their efforts, both teams struggled to secure a single victory, ultimately falling short of avoiding the drop. It serves as a reminder of the unforgiving nature of competitive football, where consistency and performance are paramount. As the curtains draw on another thrilling season of the Pepsi Bhutan Premier League Qualifiers, 2024, Daga United FC’s unbeaten triumph stands as a testament to their talent and resilience. Tsirang FC showed that nothing is impossible in the game of football and Phuentsholing Heroes FC showed their experience and composure to hook a seat in the Bhutan Premier League. On the other hand, Samtse FC have shown that even a single man and turn the game around. Set to face Hong Kong: China on two occasions(31st March and 3rd April, the team is not only preparing for competitive matches but also a historic event – hosting a FIFA Friendlies at its home ground, the Changlimithang National Stadium since the pandemic. Hosting and playing the FIFA Friendlies for the women’s team is a significant step forward, showcasing the progress of women’s football in Bhutan. This milestone reflects the Bhutan Football Federation’s commitment to the development and recognition of women’s football. Despite Hong Kong: China holding a position 100 ranks above Bhutan in the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s Football Rankings, the upcoming matches will serve as the utmost test for the Senior Women’s National team. “Friendlies like these are crucial for popularizing women’s football in Bhutan and giving our players the exposure and experience they need,” said Ms. Pema Choden Tshering, Head of the Women’s Department and national team captain. “With a few new faces in the squad, our goal is to establish a strong foundation of expertise and exposure.
