RTC WFC Crowned Defends Champions Yet Again
The reigning champions of the BoB Bhutan Women’s National League, 2024, RTC WFC, have done it again, clinching the BoB Bhutan Women’s National League 2025 title for the third consecutive year. The two-time defending champions reaffirmed their dominance with another remarkable campaign that showcased skill, resilience, and teamwork at their finest, culminating in a head-to-head win over Paro WFC after they were tied on points.
The six-month-long league came to an exciting close at the RTC Artificial Turf, where the home side faced Transport United Ladies in what was effectively the title decider. With Paro FC keeping the pressure alive after their thrilling 5–3 victory over Thimphu City WFC in the penultimate match, RTC WFC needed nothing less than a win to secure their crown.
Despite the mounting pressure, RTC WFC rose to the occasion in true champion style, delivering a commanding performance to defeat Transport United Ladies 3–0. The victory sealed yet another glorious chapter in the club’s growing legacy.
In the individual awards category, Deki Lhazom shone brightly once again, earning both the Most Valuable Player and Highest Goal Scorer titles of the season. Meanwhile, Karma Dema of Transport United Ladies was honoured with the President’s Coach of the Season award for her leadership and impact throughout the campaign. The Young Emerging Player of the season was awarded to Yeyang Gisel Wangchuk of BFF Academy, while Transport United Ladies also took home the Fair Play Award for their exemplary discipline and sportsmanship.
RTC WFC’s triumph marks another milestone in their legacy, inspiring the next generation and elevating women’s football in Bhutan.
