Unfinished Battle at Samtse Artificial Turf

The rivalry reignites as Samtse FC prepares to host RTC FC in the 23rd match of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025 at Samtse Artificial Turf. Last season’s dramatic encounter at the same venue ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw, leaving the contest unfinished. However, RTC FC had claimed a 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture in Thimphu. RTC FC arrives with renewed energy, featuring their newly signed South Korean players for the first time away from the capital. Currently sitting 5th on the table with 7 points from 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, the Capital side has netted 6 goals while conceding 3. A win today could see them leapfrog BFF Academy into 4th place. Meanwhile, Samtse FC has endured a difficult start to the season. With just 1 win, 1 draw, and 2 defeats, they sit 7th in the standings. Their defence has been vulnerable, conceding 14 goals while scoring just 4. Will Coach Ugyen and Co. build on their momentum and climb the ladder, or can Coach raj and Co. turn their season around on home turf?

BFF Academy vs Southern CIty FC: First-Ever Clash

A new chapter in the BoB Bhutan Premier League unfolds as BFF Academy locks horns with Southern City FC in a historic first encounter. The match not only promises a fresh rivalry but also presents a test of talent and tactics between the young stars and the Southern debutants. BFF Academy currently sits 5th on the points table with 5 points from four matches, earned through draws against Samtse FC and Ugyen Academy FC, an infamous win over Transport United FC, and a narrow defeat to the table-topping Paro FC. The young guns have netted a whopping 8 goals while conceding 7, showcasing both attacking flair and areas needing defensive tightening. Meanwhile, the Southerners trail closely behind in 6th place. Southern City FC has collected 4 points, a gritty draw against Tsirang FC and a hard-fought win over Tensung FC at MTC Artificial Turf, following two opening defeats to Paro FC and RTC FC. Despite their early setbacks, the Southern outfit has shown signs of promise and steady improvement. There’s more than just pride at stake in this matchup. A win for BFF Academy would lift them to 4th place, leapfrogging RTC FC, while a victory for Southern City FC would see them overtake BFF Academy, sitting just below RTC FC on head-to-head result. Will it be the Academy’s flair or the Southerners’ grit that triumphs in this fresh face-off?

Old Bonds, New Battles: Coach Pema Faces His Former Side

As Matchweek 5 unfolds in the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025, all eyes turn to the clash between Tsirang FC and Transport United FC, a fixture brimming with history, old bonds, and renewed rivalries. The past meetings between these two sides heavily favoured Transport United FC. On May 11, 2024, TUFC edged Tsirang FC 2–1, and in the return leg on July 24, 2024, they dominated with a 4–1 victory. However, this year, the narrative carries a twist. Several familiar faces will now line up against TUFC, most notably Martins and Peter, who were instrumental in the club’s title push last season. The biggest storyline, however, surrounds Coach Pema, the tactician who led Transport United FC to a second-place finish in 2024. After departing the club at the end of the season, he now finds himself on the opposite bench, trying to revitalise Tsirang FC. The start of the season has been far from ideal for Tsirang FC. With two draws, against RTC FC and Southern City FC and two losses, against heavyweights Thimphu City FC and Paro FC, they are still hunting for their first win. Having scored just one goal in four matches, the team sits 7th in the standings and is desperate for a breakthrough. On the other hand, TUFC have had a strong start with three wins out of four, their only blemish being a surprising 3–1 defeat to the BFF Academy boys. Despite that setback, they remain firmly in the top three and will look to bounce back with a commanding performance. With personal rivalries, tactical battles, and crucial points on the line, this encounter promises to be more than just another match; it’s a test of loyalties, tactics, and ambition. Can Tsirang FC finally break their winless streak? Or will Transport United FC continue their push for the top?

The Unbeaten Tigers vs The Rising Stars

Paro FC vs BFF Academy – BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025 A thrilling clash awaits at the BoB Bhutan Premier League as title contenders Paro FC take on the in-form BFF Academy U19 tomorrow. Both sides are brimming with confidence and momentum, setting the stage for a fierce and exciting battle. The Tigers of Paro are on a roaring run—unbeaten so far this season with three dominant wins, netting 11 goals and conceding just once. A win by two or more goals will not only extend their perfect run but also see them leapfrog Thimphu City FC to the top of the table. Meanwhile, the Young Guns from BFF Academy come into this match flying high after a stunning 3-1 victory over the Grizzly Bears (Transport United FC), their biggest result of the season so far. With that morale-boosting win, they’ve proven they’re more than capable of shaking up the top contenders. Another three points tomorrow would see them leapfrog RTC FC and break into the top four. Head-to-Head Record Recent history heavily favours Paro FC: 2024/07/13 – BFF Academy 0-5 Paro FC 2024/09/04- Paro FC 3 -0 BFF Academy 2023/12/03 – Paro FC 10-0 BFF Academy 2023/11/03 – BFF Academy 2-6 Paro FC Paro has scored a staggering 21 goals in their last three meetings with the Academy side, underlining their attacking power. Reserrection or Repetition?-RTC FC vs Tensung FC

The stage is set at RTC Artificial Turf as hosts RTC FC welcome bottom-placed Tensung FC in a pivotal clash on Matchday 19 of the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025. RTC FC enters this fixture following a narrow 1-0 defeat to the high-flying Thimphu City FC. Before that, they played to a thrilling 2-2 draw against Tsirang FC and opened their season with an emphatic win over Southern City FC. Currently sitting within the top five on the points table, RTC FC will be aiming for a top-four spot if they can secure all three points today. In contrast, Tensung FC has had a disappointing start to the campaign. Winless in their opening three fixtures, the army men are experiencing their worst-ever start to a Premier League season. However, a victory today could prove crucial, potentially lifting them to 7th place and reigniting hope within their camp. Historically, RTC FC holds the advantage in this fixture, remaining undefeated in all six past encounters, with three wins and three draws. This record, combined with their revamped squad featuring three exciting Korean signings, positions the home side as clear favourites going into this contest. The foreign additions have infused fresh energy and flair into RTC’s style of play, signalling a new era for the club. Meanwhile, Tensung FC continues to rely solely on local talent, a decision that underscores their developmental focus but has yet to translate into points this season. Will RTC FC rise and push into the top four? Or will Tensung FC finally break their curse and register their first win of the season?

Rivalry Renewed: Ugyen Academy FC Set to Host Transport United in High-Stakes Clash

The stage is set for another thrilling encounter as Ugyen Academy FC locks horns with Transport United FC at the Ugyen Academy Artificial Turf in the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025. With passionate home support behind them, Ugyen Academy will be eager to make a statement, but they face a tough challenge against a side that has historically had the upper hand. Transport United, known for their attacking firepower, will aim to continue their dominance over the hosts. In their last meeting in July 2023, the Grizzly Bears thrashed Ugyen Academy 7–1 and will now look to return to winning ways after recent setbacks. Led by key players like Aboyomi, Phurpa Tenzin, and Jigdrel Wangchuk, they are a constant threat going forward. On the other side, Ugyen Academy will rely on the sharp instincts of young striker Santa Kumar Limbu, whose pace and finishing could tip the scales. The home side is still searching for their first win of the season, adding extra urgency to their performance. Adding further intrigue is the presence of Coach Kinley on the Ugyen Academy bench, facing his former club for the first time. His inside knowledge of Transport United’s setup could provide a crucial tactical advantage. While Ugyen Academy has struggled with consistency in their last three matches, playing on home turf and with something to prove, they remain a side that can rise on big occasions. With three crucial points on the line, both teams will be desperate to make their mark. While past results tilt in favour of Transport United, Ugyen Academy’s hunger to bounce back, especially at home, sets the stage for a fiercely competitive showdown

BoB Bhutan Premier League, 2025

Clash of Momentum and Memories

All eyes will be on Changlimithang Stadium as Thimphu City FC, one of the early title contenders, takes on Samtse FC in a crucial encounter of the 2025 BoB Bhutan Premier League. The Citizens are off to a flying start this season, having won all three of their opening fixtures in perfect fashion. Sitting second on the table with 9 points, they’ve scored six and conceded just once. Either a win or a draw could temporarily take them to the top, overtaking Paro FC. In contrast, Samtse FC find themselves in the middle of the standings with 4 points from a win, a draw, and a loss. While their form has been mixed, they possess firepower and have shown in their last match that they could pose a serious threat to the Citizens. One player who has lit up the league so far is Keuvin Brice, Samtse’s forward and current top scorer with four goals. His pace, positioning, and sharp finishing will be crucial if Samtse are to continue their winning form this season and a winless form against Thimphu City FC, a streak that has persisted over the years. For the Citizens, Jetsuen Dorji has quietly emerged as a consistent attacking force, finding the back of the net in all three matches so far. Meanwhile, Dawa Tshering, Bhutan’s national team hero in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers against Yemen, has already added two goals this season and will face his former club, Samtse FC, in what promises to be an emotionally charged return. Adding more spice to the clash is Yuya Kuriya, who is also set to play against his former club after making his return to Bhutan with Samtse FC.  The Japanese goalkeeper will be eager to stamp his authority and help the Samtse FC  extend their flawless run. With both teams having plenty to prove and personal battles to be settled, this fixture promises fireworks. Will Thimphu City’s perfect run continue, or can Samtse FC script their first-ever victory over the Citizens?
